Go Green Clayton 5K Registration Opens

Here's what you should know about the second annual race planned May 6.

Registration is underway for the second annual Go Green Clayton 5K. The race promotes healthy living, community pride and a green community, a news release issued Tuesday states.

The May 6 event is managed by the , the Clayton High School Green Club and the . Proceeds benefit the Green Club, the district's health and physical education department, and the Century Foundation.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m. at Gay Field's Centene Stadium. A newly added half-mile fun run is available to runners age 5 to 14.

Fees are $20 for adults, or $25 after April 23; $12 for students age 5 to 18, or $17 after April 23; and $5 for fun run participants. Children age 4 and under are free.

The district's website offers details about sponsorship opportunities. The Center and already are sponsors.
