Haddington Court Residents Pack Up Amid Flood Buyout

People who live in the Clayton neighborhood have experienced heavy flooding from a nearby creek, the "St. Louis Post-Dispatch" reported.

Families are preparing to leave the Haddington Court neighborhood in Clayton as part of a flood buyout program, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Sunday.

"The force behind the Haddington Court buyout is Black Creek, which runs just east of the neighborhood. Normally Black Creek is little more than a trickle before disappearing into a storm sewer under the nearby St. Louis Galleria. During heavy rain, it changes character," the Post-Dispatch article states.

Three families already have left the neighborhood, the article states.
