Man And Woman Shot Dead In Vinita Park Early Sunday

VINITA PARK, MO — Police say 45-year-old Vernon Stewart and 35-year-old Tashonda Nesbitt were shot and killed early Sunday in north St. Louis County. The shooting happened around 1 a.m. in the 2100 block of Penfield Avenue, just east of Vinita County Park.

The North County Police Cooperative has asked St. Louis' Major Case Squad for help investigating the double murder. No suspects have been identified and no further information has been released.
