Memphis Woman Arrested For Stabbing Fellow Family Dollar Shopper

Police say the women didn't know each other and the stabbing appears to have been random.

BRECKENRIDGE HILLS, MO — A Memphis woman fatally stabbed another customer at a north St. Louis County Family Dollar Tuesday with knives she took from the store's shelves, the Post-Dispatch reports. Thirty-four-year-old Cameka Cathey is charged with first-degree murder.

Police say the women didn't know each other and they don't know what led to the stabbing.

"There was no conversation, nothing, during that time," Breckenridge Hills Police Chief John Griffin told the paper. "She just approached the victim and just started stabbing the victim in the face and the head area."
