
The Apple Store at St. Louis Galleria will have some competition come June 7 as the new Microsoft Store will open just a few yards away.
To help celebrate the grand opening the store will host a concert featuring pop singer Ne-Yo Gates open for the concert at 4 p.m. Tickets will be given away for the concert when doors open to the store that morning at 11.
The store will also get to know it's new community by donating software to local community organizations at the grand opening ceremony, according to a company statement.
Here are some of the products and services you can expect to see at the Microsoft Store:
- A curated assortment of products, including Surface, Windows 8 PCs, Windows Phones, Kinect for Xbox 360, Office products, and more.
- A range of tech trainings, business-ready PCs, phones and more. It’s a great resource for small businesses!
- Community organizations regularly host events in the theater space and store associates are out in the community supporting local causes.
- Through a partnership with Skinit, customers can show off their personal style and design their own lids and skins for laptops, phones, and Xbox.
10:30– Grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony with Microsoft’s Kevin Turner, Chief Operating Officer, where he will present more than $1 million in software grants.
11 a.m. – Doors open. The store will give away concert tickets to the Ne-Yo concert. Customers who attend the grand opening can receive $100 off their Surface RT purchase.
4 p.m. – Gates open for the Ne-Yo concert to be held in the south parking lot near Macy’s.
