Comments: An inspector visited the establishment following a customer complaint that they became ill after eating a mushroom and spinach omelet. Vegetables come in pre-sliced or chopped and prewashed; the restaurant will bag them into portion sizes and date. Eggs used for omelets are pasteurized liquid eggs. The inspector spoke the manager about hand washing, employee health, and product inspection, but did not note any other violations. 

Maggiano’s Little Italy, 2 The Boulevard
Inspection date: Feb. 26
Grade: A (96)
Comments: Hepatitis A information for employees was incomplete. Several hand sinks were not supplied with paper towels, some food scoops weren’t being properly stored, and hot water in the dish machine was not reaching proper temperatures. The inspector observed soda guns in the bar area had mildew buildup on the inside. 

Nadoz Euro Bakery, 12 The Boulevard
Inspection date: Feb. 26 (follow-up)
Grade: A (97)
Comments: During a Feb. 8 inspection, proof of food safety certification, hepatitis A records and an HACCP plan for vacuum packaging were not available for incomplete. These items were corrected, according to the follow-up report.
