Retired Clayton Fire Captain Daniel Nicewarner Dies at 52

A visitation will be held this week in St. Charles.

Retired Capt. Daniel Nicewarner died Saturday in Cincinnati, OH, an obituary states. Nicewarner, who previously served with the , was 52.

Quoting from the report:

"Dan served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp stationed in Okinawa Japan, was a fireman and paramedic for the St. Charles Fire Dept., a Captain for the Clayton Fire Dept. and a Chief for the Newton Fire Dept. in Newton Ohio, and then a emergency room nurse."

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stygar Funeral Homes, 5987 Mid-Rivers Mall Dr. in St. Charles, the Missouri Fire Service Funeral Assistance Team website states.

The funeral will be private.
