Richmond Heights Police: False ID Provided to Police

Richmond Heights Police dealt with several thefts at the Galleria and other crime between April 1-6.

The following information was supplied by the Richmond Heights Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 1

  • Officers responded to the SSM St. Mary's Health Center's ER for a subject shouting profanities and refusing treatment. The subject was arrested and held on a municipal warrant application.

  • Officers responded to Macy’s where a subject was detained by security for stealing $1,590 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held for a state warrant application.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where a subject was detained by security for stealing $21.98 in merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.

Wednesday, April 3 

  • Victim believes that her cousin stole a sleeve of old checks that victim still possessed on a closed account and fraudulently used those checks to make purchases at Nordstrom.
  • Officers responded to Macy’s where security detained two juveniles for stealing $116 in merchandise. The juveniles were arrested and later released, one to her mother and the other to the County Juvenile Detention Center.
  • Officers responded to the Homewood Suites where security pursued and detained a subject for stealing $44.99 in merchandise from Dillard’s. The subject was arrested and held on a municipal warrant application.

Friday, April 5

  • After an officer stopped a vehicle on Hanley for a traffic violation, the driver provided false identification. Investigation revealed the driver’s true identity. The driver was arrested and later released on a municipal court summons.
  • A subject known by mall security to have been banned was detained. Arriving officers found the subject to have several additional outstanding warrants. The subject was arrested and held pending a municipal warrant application.

Saturday, April 6

  • Victim stated that person(s) unknown entered her unlocked vehicle, while parked in her driveway on Center, and stole headphones and an iPod.
  • Officers responded to H&M where security had detained two subjects for stealing $85.50 in merchandise. Both subjects were arrested. One was later released on a summons and the other held pending a municipal warrant application.
