A Possible School Tax Hike and a 'Social Engineering Bandwagon?'

Welcome to our preview of some of what's to come this week on Creve Coeur Patch.
We'll be following Monday's Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, which among other things, will once again hear talk about potential apartment complexes with eyes on property off Old Olive Street Road.
Former City Council candidate David Caldwell wondered on his blog if the city should be getting on what he described as a "social engineering bandwagon" to create housing for the city's growing high-tech workforce.
Tuesday night, the Pattonville School District will host a forum to get feedback about the possible need for a vote on a tax levy increase this fall.
If you have a high school student-athlete who plays a fall sport in your house, you might notice they're a little stir-crazy this week. While teams have held training camps on and off over the summer, the state mandates a period where none of that is allowed in the week leading up to the start of official fall practice and tryouts next week.
