(VIDEO) Letter From The Principal: Bellerive Kids Show Leadership Through Giving
VIDEO: Students surprised a school employee who was the victim of a recent fire.
By Jami Debosch, Principal,
One of the highlights of this school year occurred last Friday. It was a powerful example of our community coming together to serve one another.
Last Friday we held an assembly to honor Mr. Bolden and to βshowerβ him with our donations and kind words. We raised over $3,500.00 for Mr. Bolden in just a few short days. We held an assembly because I felt it was important for the students to see the impact they can have on others.
Story after story was shared with me of students bringing in birthday money, using their allowance, asking parents for a loan. Students used this time as an opportunity to show they can think of others first. They wanted to give, expecting nothing in return.
As we work to build leadersβ¦This week was proof that we are well on our way. Throughout this year, it has been amazing to watch our community come closer and closer together. I am so proud to be part of a community that is so supportive, thoughtful and caring. Thank you for making it a wonderful year!
