Bernie Miklasz Leaving Creve Coeur-Based 101 ESPN Radio
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the newspaper columnist will devote his attention full-time there.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that one of their own, sports columnist Bernie Miklasz, will focus his work on his primary employer and leave 101 ESPN Radio next month.
Miklasz has anchored the midday 11 a.m-2 p.m. spot at the Creve Coeur-based all sports talk station.

Miklasz said that on his 53rd birthday, in February 2012, he woke up and said to himself that he had to take control of his health. The first thing he did was lose a significant amount of weight, and the second was to streamline his professional life and work for one employer instead of spreading himself out.

Miklasz said “The Post-Dispatch was unbelievable about their commitment of stepping up and creating a job that will expand on my roles as a writer but also allow me to financially walk away from radio.’’
Miklasz may still do phone-in appearances on the station.
