Heroic Action At Creve Coeur Fire Scene Will Receive Formal Honors Monday

Monday night, Tyler Muchnick will be honored with a Citizen Lifesaver Award for going back into his home three times in an attempt to save a friend who was injured and who authorities said collapsed trying to get out.

Muchnick got help from neighbors and others after leaving his friend in the garage of the home, according to a Monarch press release.

Will Steffen and Paul Knight will also receive Citizen Life Saver Certificates of Recognition for their work in assisting Muchnick until first responders arrived on scene.

The men will all be honored at the Monarch Fire Protection District Board of Directors meeting, Monday at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the District's Headquarters locatedΒ 13725 Olive Blvd. in ChesterfieldΒ Β
