Insert Store Here: What Would You Put In The Former Watercolors Cafe?
The Lindbergh Boulevard location has been home to a number of restaurants over the years. What do you think would work here?
This property at 611 N. Lindbergh Boulevard in Creve Coeur has been vacant for years. The most recent tenant was the Watercolors Cafe. An attempt to place a Senior Living facility there in 2007 failed to get past the city's board of adjustment, according to meeting minutes, after residents nearby expressed concern that the facility wasn't a good fit for the property.
Proposals for the parcel have been controversial for years, dating back to Howard Johnsons' development there decades ago. A 2005 St. Louis Magazine review of Watercolors chronicles the tenants which have come and gone, and notes the built-in traffic obstacles for patrons trying to access the site.
