Mayor-Elect Barry Glantz: 'Itβs A Great Night. Thereβs No Other Way To Describe It.'
Glantz defeated Laura Bryant Tuesday in a bid to succeed retiring Mayor Harold Dielmann.

Glantz defeated Laura Bryant by a count ofΒ 2,174 (56.25 percent) to 1,685 (43.60 percent) in a contest matching two former city council and planning and zoning board members. Glantz said he was cautiously optimistic throughout the day but that the margin of victory was greater than anticipated.
In an email to Patch late Tuesday, Bryant said, "I ran for good government and clean campaigning, and unfortunately those ideals did not resonate with enough Creve Coeur voters. I wish Barry the best of luck as our new mayor."

Glantz said he knows there will be skeptics, and some people he'll never be able to convince, but at the end of the day, the voters have spoken.
"We did something right," he said.
The evening was doubly special for the family. Sheri Glantz, the Mayor-elect's wife,
