The new business, led by Ballwin resident Chip Dozier, has been showing their 3000 plus flooring samples to homeowners in Creve Coeur, Clayton. Ladue, Kirkwood, Town & Country and more for a few months and along with wife Katie, who serves as the administrative and business pro, they are already making a significant impact in the local community. Chip Dozier brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to his new venture. With a decade-long career as an Anesthesiologist Assistant, Chip has honed his ability to earn trust quickly, a skill he finds invaluable in his new role. “The pandemic was a turning point for me,” Chip explains. “I faced pay cuts and hazardous situations, and the healthcare system’s focus seemed to shift away from patient care. It was time to look for an exciting new career. I could also retain my free-lance career in Anesthesiology. Floor Coverings International’s culture and commitment to excellent customer service inspired me to join as a franchisee.”

Chip and his wife Katie, both born and raised in the St. Louis area, were excited to start this new chapter together. “We’re a couple of St. Louis kids who left for a bit and came back to start a family,” Chip shares. “Our little girl was born at the end of June 2024, and we opened our flooring doors at the end of April 2024. Katie, with her exceptional business skills, took the leap with me, and we’re thrilled to build a brand our family can be proud of.”
