Officer Phil Lane Recognized As "Officer of The Quarter"

The Creve Coeur Police department recognizes an officer who stands out each quarter.

officer Phil Lane was recognized earlier this month at a ceremony held to recognize the city's officer for the fourth quarter of 2011.

Lane was hailed for his actions in the later half of the year, including:

  • His response to on September 2, when a subject who "appeared to be drugged," and could not stand without assistance, according to Police Chief Glen Eidman's prepared remarks at the ceremony. The man was carrying pills including bath salts. He was later arrested on felony drug possession charges.
  • Lane was credited with solving a series of graffiti cases in October.
  • Lane and officers Jon McIntosh and Grace Fico were praised for planning and carrying off the annual
