Pattonville School District Breaks Ground for New Stadium
Voters approved funding for the project in November.
Pattonville sports fans can look forward to a different sight when they head to games in 2012—a new stadium. The Pattonville School District held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday to launch the stadium's construction.
Superintendent Dr. Mike Fulton and School Board President Robert Dillon thanked several groups of people during the ceremony, including archetects who designed the new stadium, voters who passed the ballot measure that secured funding for the stadium in November and the pep band that played music before the ceremony.
School board members, , students and others broke ground together with gold-colored shovels. Demolition will begin later this summer, with the construction starting in the fall.

District officials expect the stadium to be completed in August 2012, according to the groundbreaking ceremony program.
All of the Pattonville football games will be played on the road in the 2011 season. Lindenwood University will host the team's homecoming game, September 24 against McCluer High School.
