Columnist Jerry Berger Reportedly Admits to Sexual Misconduct at FedEx Store

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, gossip columnist Jerry Berger admitted that he inappropriately touched a man at a Creve Coeur FedEX store in February.

Berger, 79, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of first-degree sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor, according to the Post-Dispatch article. A second sexual misconduct charge was reportedly dismissed and Berger was fined $100, as part of his plea deal.

As previously reported by Patch, the former newspaper columnist was charged in October after Creve Coeur Police said he had unwanted sexual contact with a man in a checkout line.

Berger, 79, a former St. Louis Post-Dispatch gossip columnist and a resident of the 300 block of Magna Carta in Creve Coeur, was charged Oct. 9 with two counts of first-degree sexual misconduct in connection to the alleged February incident.
