Teri Griege Competing In Berlin Marathon Sunday
The Creve Coeur woman already has a spot in the London Marathon scheduled for next spring.

By any measure, Teri Griege's story of pushing on in life despite a serious cancer diagnosis is nothing short of inspirational. But by next spring, the Creve Coeur woman will have achieved something a select few claim: competing in all five of the world's "Major" marathons.
Sunday, Griege will run in the Berlin Marathon after having biked through Italy for the past week.
Griege, who received a stage four colon cancer diagnosis in 2009, one year after competing in the Chicago and Boston Marathons, forged on and late last year completed the Ford Ironman World Championship in and the New York City marathon.

There is no resting on laurels, either. Before she left, Griege emailed her supporters to encourage them to back her squad taking part in next weekend's Pedal The CauseΒ fundraiser to benefit Siteman Cancer Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine and Children's Hospital.

And next spring, Griege will complete the pseudo "Grand Slam" of marathons, when she takes her spot in the London Marathon, scheduled for April 21, 2013.
