Creve Coeur City Council members A.J. Wang and Ellen Lawrence will be hosting a Town Hall meeting Thursday night at the Government Center from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The meeting is a chance for residents to bring up their own concerns, but both representatives told Patch they expect the city's trash service contract to be a hot topic. The city's current service contract with Republic Services expires next summer and <a href="https://crevecoeur.patch.com/groups/politics-and-elections/p/pay-for-trash-city-appears-moving-away-from-free-rear-yard-service" rel="nofollow">council members have endorsed the idea of moving forward with a new trash contract that would not include city-funded rear yard trash collection.</a> Council members could choose a new service provider by the end of 2013 or decide to exercise a three year extension of the current agreement.
