What Do Pigskins, Corks & Chalk All Have In Common?
We're helping you plan fun events for the whole family this weekend not too far from the city of Creve Coeur.

The scorching temperatures tell us that we're still knee-deep in summertime, but the calendar tells us that we've reached the "unofficial" end of the season with the Labor Day holiday weekend. Here are a few things you can do to celebrate the holiday in style.
- Football's Back! The High School football season returns Friday night, with games all over the area. Parkway North, Parkway Central, De Smet Jesuit and Chaminade are all hosting games, slated to start at 7:00 p.m. As of this writing, there is still a chance that weather issues could see kickoffs moved back.
- Corks and Forks at Chesterfield Amphitheater "An upscale, free event featuring delicious cuisine from the finest area restaurants, a wide selection of international wines, regional craft beers, an artist village and live music all day long. Fireworks at 9:45pm."
- Get Your Chalk On!: The Delmar Loop will host the third annual chalk festival on Saturday, Aug. 31, with a rain date of Sept. 1. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be held at the Chuck Berry Statue, 6555 Delmar. Click on the link for event details.
- Pool's Gone To The Dogs: Aquaport will host its annual Dog Day of Summer on Monday. Creve Coeur residents can enjoy residential rates at the Maryland Heights facility. Gates will open at 6:15 p.m. to well-mannered dogs and their guardians for a fun evening of splashing around the pool. Dogs will have access to all of the park’s amenities except for the slides, though the kiddie pool is reserved for small dogs only. Admission for one dog and one human companion is $10. Each additional human is $3 and each additional dog is $5; no more than two dogs are allowed per human. All dogs are required to wear an ID tag and have a current Dogport tag or current vaccination records (including rabies and distemper). To avoid a long line, pre-register your dog at the Maryland Heights Centre by bringing in vaccination records between Aug. 27 and Sept. 1.
