American Idol Draws Local Hopefuls
WATCH: At least one Eureka resident joined the St. Louis suburbanites who hit the Scottrade Center for a chance to get on the popular television show.
Thousands of singers came to downtown St. Louis for a chance to get on Fox's American Idol. St. Louis Patch interviewed several suburbanites from across the region about what drew them to the auditions.

Additions at 1:30 p.m. today: Patch was just informed that Miranda Luze, a Wildwood resident, also auditioned. She will be a senior at Eureka High.

Lauren VonSeelen, also from Wildwood, auditioned this morning. She will be a sophomore at Eureka High.
Addition at 4 p.m.: Patch was informed that Lauren Hoffman, Eureka High 2008 graduate and vocal music education major at Southeast Missouri State University, is still at the audition, waiting for her turn.
