Craig Maxwell has been promoted to principal at .
He had served as assistant principal at Crestview Middle School and as assistant director of character education for four years. Prior to that, Maxwell served as an assistant principal at Northeast Middle School in the Parkway School District and as a speech and language arts teacher at and Vianney High School.
Maxwell has a bachelor's degree in speech communication, a master's degree in secondary education from Truman State University and a doctorate in educational leadership from Saint Louis University.
He replaces Greg Batenhorst who has accepted a position in another district.
