Parker Named Assistant Principal at Babler Elementary

Malissa Parker has been named assistant principal at Babler Elementary School.

Parker has served as an elementary school counselor at Babler for seven years and prior to that, as a traveling elementary school counselor in Rockwood for five years.  She began her career as a Parents as Teachers/Parent Educator in the West Plains School District and worked in the Union R-XI School District for two years as a teacher and four years as a counselor.  

Parker has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Missouri State University and a master's degree in elementary counseling from the University of Missouri at St. Louis. She is currently working on a master’s degree in elementary administration from Missouri Baptist University.

She replaces Paul Godwin, who has been named principal at Green Pines Elementary.
