City of Wildwood May Spend $40,000 for New Website

The upgrade is aimed at helping the city's online presence be more user friendly for business, residents and staff.

The city of Wildwood is looking to upgrade its online presence with a new official website aimed at providing a better, more business-friendly user experience.Β

At a meeting May 28, the city council took a step toward approving a contract with CivicPlus to build the new site at a cost of around $40,000. It will be up for final approval on the council’s June 10 meeting.

Director of Planning and Parks Joe Vujnich presented the agreement to the council and explained that the city’s economic development task force chosen the firm from among four finalists following an RFP earlier this year.

Vujnich also vetted the company by conducting interviews with other regional municipalities that use CivicPlus.

β€œWe have determined that their sites are user friendly and, more importantly from a staff perspective, easy to maintain,” he said.

Money to fund the upgrade had been set aside by the council previously, after the task force identified it as goal that could aid Wildwood’s economic development.Β
