A severe storm moved through the Eureka and Wildwood area early this evening, spawning tornado warnings and reports of possible touchdowns.
A massive stormfront could be seen moving above Eureka around 8:18 p.m., but the area avoided the brunt of the storm, with the morning bringing reports of damaged homes, including missing roofs, downed trees and power outages in St. Charles. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The storm also dumped plenty of rain, so drivers can expect to encounter flooded roads with a flash flood warning for the area until early Saturday morning issued by the National Weather Service.

A severe storm is moving through the Eureka and Wildwood area. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for St. Louis County until 8:45 p.m.
A massive stormfront could be seen moving above Eureka around 8:18 p.m. and there were reports from local media of funnel clouds near Wentzville, along with a report of a touchdown in Weldon springs.
The National Weather Service is now saying that a "large and extremely dangerous tornado on the ground near St. Charles."
