Got Pink Hair Yet?

In observation of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, one Eureka-based salon offers pink hair strands to weave in. It only takes a few minutes.

There are many pink products from which to choose during October for Breast Cancer Awareness, however, one option makes an immediate and fun fashion statement every day, if chosen.

Elle Salon and Spa staffers at 15 E. First Street offering pink and purple hair extensions for $5 each. Purple is the color for cancer prevention, and pink is the color associated with breast cancer awareness.

Elle's owners are donating 100 percent of the sales from the extension to cancer-related research and prevention groups.

Elle receptionist Angela Graff said the extensions last about four weeks. "They only take a few seconds to apply, so if anyone wants to walk-in and get one, one of the salonists usually can handle that quickly."
