Locally Produced Film to Debut July 8 at the Tivoli

Filmed locally and in Washington, D.C., exclusively by local talent. "In War, the First Casualty is Truth."

Moviegoers are invited to attend the 2012 Whitaker St. Louis Filmmaker Showcase for a special screening of "Casualties of the State," by Corner Film Productions, a local and independent St. Louis media production company on July 8, at 6:15 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre.

Filmed in St. Louis and Washington, D.C., “Casualties of the State” features Missouri and Illinois actors and crew. Key locations include The Old Post Office downtown and Kirkwood City Hall.

Cast and crew members will be available for discussion immediately following the screening. Casualties of the State is a story about Americans facing difficult choices when they discover political elites are profiting from war at the expense of American lives.

Two seasoned FBI agents and a young security analyst investigate the murder of high-ranking government officials. As the trio races against time to catch the killer, they find themselves in a moral struggle where there is more at stake than just the lives of the killer's victims.
