MoDOT Wrapping up 'Pothole Patrol'; Report Problem Spots Now

MoDOT promised to repair most potholes within 24 hours of them being reported, but the "Pothole Patrol" effort ends Sunday.

TheΒ Missouri Department of TransportationΒ kicked off its "enhanced pothole repair initiative" last month and it's wrapping up Sunday, April 14.

MoDOT promised road crews wouldΒ repair a pothole with asphalt within 24 hours of it being reported on a weekday.

Drivers should report potholes by calling 1-888-ASK-MoDOT, online atΒ MoDOT.orgΒ or by emailingΒ comments@modot.mo.gov.

As the program wraps up, MoDOT stated in a news release that Director Dave Nichols issued a new challenge to field employees as the initiative comes to an end.

β€œMoDOT makes every effort to surpass expectations in everything weΒ do,” said Nichols in the news release. β€œWhile maintenance crews have done a great job so far, IΒ have challenged them to speed up their response time to make sure theΒ pothole repair is done swiftly and efficiently.”

Once reported, Nichols has asked crews to repair the potholeΒ by the close of business on the following day, including Saturdays andΒ Sundays.
