Patch has the scoop on the celebrations to observe our nation's freedom, including the closest ones locally in Eureka and Pacific.

To celebrate the Fourth of July, the St. Louis area has it covered. With a vast array of fireworks displays, parades, live music, fairs and festivals, there's no shortage of activities. Five of the largest Independence Day events west of the Mississippi follow.

Pacific Community Fireworks Show

Where: Pacific City Park at 700 W. Congress
Entertainment: DJ music will be provided by Dave Grippo
Fireworks: 9:15 p.m.
Activities: Concessions (cotton candy, funnel cakes, nachos, hot dogs), pony rides, petting zoo, and other children's activities. American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 320 will present a salute to America and our veterans. The Genealogy Committee will be offering 50/50 chances to raise funds for a memorial for a former war slave.Β Β 

Arnold Fourth of July Celebration
