Storm Knocks Out Power to Hundreds in Eureka
The Red Cross was on the scene in a neighborhood in Eureka providing water and food to residents in an area of Eureka affected by storms.

Storms today knocked out power to hundreds in Eureka, according to the Ameren website. The site reported that nearly 600 homes were without power at about 6:30 p.m. today.
In a news release, the Red Cross said "a disaster action team...is providing relief after a storm damaged a neighborhood in Eureka today. Volunteers with the Red Cross are providing water and food to residents, emergency responders and others helping out in the damaged areas."
FOX2 reported that a number of trees were uprooted or damaged in the Shaw’s Garden subdivision on Schmelz Drive in Eureka.Â

Eureka police chief Michael Wiegand told KSDK:Â "There's a lot of trees down, one to two houses damaged; four or five cars damaged, nobody hurt."
