Wildwood Man Forged Checks to Buy Heroin and Oxycontin, Police Say

The man cashed one legal check, followed by three forged checks, police said.

A man was charged Aug. 16 with writing fake checks and cashing them last April.

Michael Larocca, 32, of the 2500 block of Elm Forest Court in , was charged with three counts of forgery. They are felony charges.

said Larocca cashed one check from a man legally. He then forged three more checks from the same man and cashed them at Commerce Bank at 12633 Dorsett Road in Maryland Heights, police said.

Larocca said he cashed the checks to buy heroin and Oxycontin, according to the probable cause statement filed by Maryland Heights Police.

Bond was set at $10,000.
