The charges stem from an incident on Feb. 16, 2012, when police say Norton gave birth in the basement of a boyfriendβs home and later that day left her newborn son under a tree between two homes on Westridge Parc Lane in Ellisville.
Norton then checked herself in to a hospital, where she was located by police later that evening.
