Young Driver Hits Fence, Parked Vehicle
The driver in this one-car accident was not wearing a safety belt, according to authorities.

Melissa Banks, a 19-year-old driver from Pacific, was transported to Mercy Washington by a Meramec Emergency Management Service crew on Monday after the 1997 Toyota Corolla she was driving traveled off the right side of the Highway N, north of Frisco Drive, at 1:56 a.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol report about this accident indicates Banks overcorrected, then traveled off the left side of the roadway and hit a fence and a parked vehicle.
She sustained "moderate injuries," according to the report. Her car received extensive damage, and was towed by Eureka-based Hyndrich Brothers Towing. She was not wearing a safety belt, according to authorities.
