Fenton Wins Grant For New Trailhead
The grant helps fund construction on a new trailhead and trailhead connection for the Meramec Greenway Trail.
Fenton has won a $130,000 grant to build a pavilion at Olde Towne Plaza and a connection to the nearby Meramec Greenway Trail.
The grant comes from the Municipal Parks Grant Commission, which awarded $3 million in grants to 18 municipalities in the St. Louis region.
The trailhead will be near Old Highway 141 and Old Gravois Road, which is now a gravel lot. there in the future.
The new grant funds will join a Missouri department of Natural Resources Recreation Trail Program grant for more than $83,000.
