Burglar Threatened to Shoot Homeowner Who Grabbed His Partner, Police Say

The 17-year-old man and his juvenile co-defendant were caught and identified later, Florissant Police said.

A Florissant homeowner grabbed a juvenile who was trying to leave his home through a window while carrying a television Oct. 29 in the 3000 block of Blackwood Drive. Another man leaned inside the window and threatened to shoot the homeowner if he did not let the juvenile go.

Ronnell Bryant, 17, of the 2800 block of Countryside in Florissant, was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault.

The homeowner later identified Bryant and the juvenile, Florissant Police said. The juvenile also has been charged.

Bail for Bryant was set at $35,000.
