Florissant Resident Receives Bachelorβs Degree from WGU Missouri
Brittany LoDuca earned a Bachelor of Arts β Educational Studies in Elementary Education from the fully online, nonprofit university

Brittany LoDuca, a resident of Florissant, has graduated from WGU Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts β Educational Studies in Elementary Education. LoDuca participated in the nonprofit, fully online universityβs commencement ceremony on Oct. 22 in downtown St. Louis, where she and hundreds of other graduates were recognized and celebrated for their achievements.
Since beginning her educational journey, LoDuca faced many obstacles in her life that would have prevented most from completing their degree. With support from her husband and WGU Missouri-assigned mentor and with her children watching, she stuck with her program and achieved her goal of earning a bachelorβs degree in elementary education.
βThere were many times when I wanted to quit and give up, but knowing my three beautiful babies were watching, I could not give up,β LoDuca said. βThey were my reason to keep going and earn that degree. Without my mentor, my husband and kids, I donβt know where I would be. I am so thankful for them and so proud of who I have become through this journey.β

βWGU has made my journey achievable,β she added. βA traditional university would have never worked for me, but because WGU isnβt traditional, someone like me could earn a degree.β
