Florissant Toddler Injured in Car Crash on I-170

A 3-year-old girl from sustained minor injuries Monday after being involved in a car accident on Interstate 170 just north of Page Avenue.

The girl was transported to DePaul Health Center along with her mother, 25, of Florissant, who also sustained minor injuries during the crash.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, the mother was driving her 2001 Kia Spectra along northbound I-170 when she collided with another car, which struck the concrete barrier of the highway before veering off the right side of the road, driving over the outer road and striking a tree.

The driver of the second car, a 33-year-old female, and an infant baby girl also sustained minor injuries and were taken to Mercy Medical Center. 

According to the highway patrol, all passengers were wearing seat belts.
