Free Vision Screenings for Area 1-5 Year Olds Tuesday
The comprehensive vision screening is only for children who live in the Ferguson-Florissant School District's boundaries.

The Ferguson-Florissant School Districtβs Parents as Teachers program in partnership with theΒ Missouri Lionβs Club will offer a free comprehensive vision screening for toddlers andΒ children heading intoΒ kindergarten.
Those children must live in theΒ district.
The screenings areΒ first come, first serve. They begin atΒ 6:30 p.m., onΒ Β Tuesday, Sept. 17. The event is one hour long and will take place at theΒ James J. Egan Center, Rooms A & B. The center is located atΒ #1 James J. Egan Drive.

Parents as Teachers will also haveΒ a story time at the center while children wait. The reading event will take place fromΒ 6:30 β 7:30 p.m. Β
TheΒ Parents as Teachers programΒ also offers home visits withΒ parent educators. The visits afford parents an opportunityΒ toΒ learn about age appropriate child development information and activities for their children, and providesΒ annual developmental screenings, as well asΒ locating community resources for children in need.Β
