Judge Tim Kelly is the 14th βWalk Through Historyβ Dedication
The plaque will be dedicated this week to the late Judge Timothy W. Kelly, Sr. Kelly died in June 2011 after more than 30 years as Florissant's municipal judge.

Wednesday marks the dedication of theΒ 14thΒ plaque the City of Florissant is issuing to honor someone of prominence in the community.Β
The plaque will be dedicated this week to the late Judge Timothy W. Kelly, Sr. The city will host the plaque dedication for Kelly on Wednesday, Aug. 28, before the start of the Wednesday Night Out activities near Bunkerβs and Stems Florist on Old Town Florissant.
Kelly died in June 2011 after more than 30 years asΒ Florissant's municipal judge. HeΒ followed in the footsteps of his late father John F. Kelly.Β He was 63, and had recently been re-elected to hisΒ ninth term as municipal judge. Kelly was elected to the municipal judge position for the first timeΒ in 1979.

Kelly grew up in the Florissant area and attended several formal schools such as Our Lady of Fatima and St. Thomas Aquinas. He received a bachelorβs degree in economics fromΒ Missouri Valley CollegeΒ and a juris doctorate in 1973 fromΒ Saint Louis University School of Law.
