Little Creek Nature Preserve Homecoming is Saturday

In the midst of food trucks on Friday and a fall festival on Sunday is a little nature.

Little Creek Nature Area is hosting Β homecoming festivities on Saturday,Β Oct. 12, with lots of free family entertainment.

The event will take place atΒ Little Creek Nature Area, located at 2295 Dunn Rd., from 8 a.m. to noon. There will beΒ guided tours of the nature area’s trails, bird watching with Audubon Society experts, a scavenger hunt and refreshments.Β 

TheΒ World Bird Sanctuary will also releaseΒ a rehabilitated bird, and the St. Louis County Library System will be out and have aΒ children’sΒ storytime.

The Ferguson-Florissant School District owns and managers theΒ 96-acre nature reserve those familiar call an outdoor classroom.

The property also includes a working farm, a butterfly garden, an arboretum, a restored prairie, a museum and a 19th-century log cabin.
