Man Grew Marijuana in Florissant Apartment, Police Say

Police said the plants would have yielded about 100 grams of marijuana.

A man was charged July 18 with growing marijuana.

said they received a tip that Giovonni Jones, 21, of the 100 block of Reeb Lane, was growing marijuana in his apartment. During an April 28, 2011 search, police found several marijuana plants, sunleaf timers, lights and a carbon dioxide generator in the apartment, according to the probable cause statement.

A lab analysis showed the plants would have provided more than 100 grams of marijuana, police said in the report.

Jones was charged with producing marijuana with intent to sell.

Bond was set at $20,000.
