Alert: Missing Elderly Hazelwood Man

The needs help finding an 88-year-old man who has Alzheimer's.
Alexander Royal has been missing for almost 24-hours. He disappeared from Villa at Riverwood, a luxury retirement home on the Hazelwood/Florissant border, and hasn't been seen since 6 p.m. on March 20. His wife reported him missing when she could not find him on Sunday around 8 p.m.
Hazelwood police searched with dogs after her call, but did not find him.

Royal is a black man and was last seen wearing a black cap, light beige jacket and brown pants. He also has a walking cane.

UPDATE: PUBLISHED AT 3 p.m.
Hazelwood Police Department officers responded to Meditation Way regarding a subject lying in the rear yard of a residence. Upon arrival it was discovered that the subject was that of Alexander Royal. According to the police department, Royal was conscience and did not appear to be injured; however, he was transported to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation. Royal's family was notified.
