Councilwoman Carol Stroker to Represent Hazelwood on the Great Rivers Greenway Board
Stroker is one of four new members elected to balance the board since the release of the 2010 Census population results.
The Great Rivers Greenway District (GRG), a region-wide system of greenways, parks and trails known as The River Ring, has added four new members appointed to its board of directors, including Councilwoman Carol Stroker.
Great Rivers Greenway represents the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County and St. Charles County, and its 12-member board of directors oversees the distribution of funds for developing the River Ring. It also supports Great Rivers Greenway's mission to create a green, clean and connected St. Louis region.
Census Shows Need for Expansion
Responding to the 2010 Census results, St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley, St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann and St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay met as required by state law to determine how to reallocate board members. Â

According to GRG, they decided that the district would add a board member from St. Charles County and St. Louis County, accounting for two of the four new members on the board.
New baord members include:
- Patrick Sullivan (St. Charles County), Executive Vice President of the Home Builders Association of St. Louis and Eastern Missouri
- Julie Mueller (St. Charles County), Vice President and COO of Lindenwood University
- Carol Klein (St. Louis County), board member of the Audubon Center at Riverlands and retired President of KleinLines Marketing Communications,
- Carol Stroker (St. Louis County),Realtor with Prudential Select and member of the Hazelwood City Council, the and the Florissant Valley Kiwanis Club.
