Donate Unwanted Electronics or Go Hang Out with Butterflies

This week's installment of "Get Out" has a well-rounded bunch of things for you to do.

It's Saturday morning, the house chores are completed and you've got no idea what you'll do for the weekend. No worries, Hazelwood Patch is coming to the rescue. Check out a few activities  and places to explore.

When/Where: Saturday, March 19, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at St. Ferdinand Park at the intersection of North Lindbergh and St. Ferdinand Drive

Why Go: The City of Florissant, as well as Mers Goodwill, will host an electronics recycling drive. Residents have the option to drop off electronics as small as a cell phone to as large as a washer and dryer set. Receipts are also available for tax deductions upon request.

Why Go: Patch is the new kid in town in terms of providing community news and information. We want to spread the word about our offerings and meet the people who already know about us.

Pricing: The first 100 people to come by and meet  and  will get a free cup of Kaldi's coffee.

Why Go: This fun filled event will feature the dice game, BUNCO. The best part?  No experience is necessary. Bring your Bunco Team for playing, food and fun. Cash Prizes for winners and even the biggest loser.

Why Go: Nobody’s perfect. This is an opportunity to attend an evening of insights on the depths of spirituality in marriage.

Price: $10 per couple. Registration is required.

FELT FOOD

When/Where:  This event lasts from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at the .

Why Go: ome and learn how to make three pretty and fun felt food projects for your children or grandchildren to play with. All supplies provided. Recommended for adults.

Pricing: Registration required

 

When/Where:  This event lasts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at the Butterfly House in Chesterfield. It also occurs weekly on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 

Why Go: These butterflies, native to Central and South America, can only be seen around St. Louis at places like the Butterfly House. 

Pricing: Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 to 12. Children ages 2 and under can get in free.
