Get Ready to Ollie and Flip, Hazelwood's Skate and BMX Park Opens Saturday
Show off your skateboard and bmx skills starting Saturday.
It's warming up in the and that means one thing for skateboard and bmx bike fanatics: time to grind, curve and flip in some sun.
Good thing the Hazelwood Skate/BMX portion of White Birch Park opens up officially for the season on Saturday.
Opening day hours of operations will me noon to 5 p.m. Every skateboard of biker who comes out and uses the park that day will receive a free pass for use on another day.

Weather permitting, the facility will be open the following week, March 19-23, which is spring break for students. Daily hours of operation will be from noon to 8 p.m.
Park hours are based on area schools' release time so there will be specific operating hours until the school year ends in May. The daily schedule of operation for this period will be the following:

- Sunday, 2 to 8 p.m.
- Monday-Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m.
- Friday, CLOSED
- Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.
Residents only pay $1 to use the park and visitors, $2. It is a requirement that participants sign a waiver and have it on file at the in order to use the park.
Safety helmets and pads can be rented for $1 each.
