Bornemann is one of four people who work in the City of Hazelwood’s Court Division. In addition to making sure court nights run smoothly, she takes the place of court administrator when she is absent, reconciles daily deposits, schedules trials, subpoenas witnesses, sends a Record of Convictions to the Department of Revenue, processes incoming bonds and applies for refunds when necessary, logs and records all administrative search warrants and forwards incoming
warrant applications to the prosecuting attorney’s office.

"Her humor, wit and charm are a blessing in our busy office. We would be lost without her,”

In order to receive CCA certification, an accumulation of 100 credit hours must be met and attendance of the MACA’s annual conference is required for four consecutive years. Those who achieve their certification must complete at least 10 credit hours per year to maintain this status.

The City of Hazelwood is one of 400 members across the state that belongs to the Missouri Association of Court Administrators. Hazelwood is also a member of the Metropolitan St. Louis Association for Court Administrators (MSLACA).

Bornemann won a scholarship from both organizations to attend this year’s MACA conference. She gave one away to a court clerk in need of financial assistance in order to afford going to the conference.
