Hazelwood Crime: Man Snatches A Woman's Purse, Hits the Highway

Here are a few of the crimes that occurred March 4 and March 5 in the City of Hazelwood. Hazelwood Patch attained the accounts from the Hazelwood Police Department.

March 4

Drug Arrest: A person was arrested during a traffic stop on N. Lindbergh and Interstate-270 off ramp for being in possession of marijuana.

Drug Arrest: A man was arrested for having marijuana in the 200 block of Village Square. During the investigation he resisted arrest.

Second-Degree Burglary: A safe containing coins was stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of Elm Grove Ln. The person kicked in the front door.

Domestic Assault: A man assaulted his girlfriend in the 5300 block of Knoll Creek. He ran away before police arrived.

March 5

Counterfeit: A person cashed a counterfeit check at Superior Bank located at 90 Village Square Shopping Center.

Stealing: Cash was taken from apartment in the 7300 block of Normandie Ct. There was no forced entry and police believe the victim may know the suspect.

Second-Degree Robbery: A woman was leaving Exit 6 at St. Louis Outlet Mall when a man snatched her purse and its contents. The man hopped into a burgundy colored SUV a woman was driving.
