Hazelwood Police Blotter: Theft A Common Theme in Recent Crime

Police also encountered a lot of wanted individuals who in turn were arrested.

OCTOBER 16

FIRST-DEGREE BURGLARY/PROPERTY DAMAGE: Hazelwood Police responded to a call in the 8400 block of Latty. Suspects were in the residence upon police arrival and were arrested, according to police.

STEALING: Hazelwood Police arrested a suspect for stealing at The Children's Place at St. Louis Mills.

VEHICLE THEFT: A car was stolen in the 7000 block of Howdershell Road. Police later recovered the vehicle burned in St. Charles. 

STEALING: Police issued a warrant for a vehicle that drove off without paying for gas at the ZX/Citgo gas station on Howdershell Road. 

OCTOBER 13

FUGITIVE ARREST: Police responded to disturbance call at the Extended Stay America on North Lindbergh when it was discovered that the two people the call was regarding, had warrants. Both were also found to be in possession of suspected crack pipes.

FUGITIVE ARREST: A suspicious vehicle check at Brookes Park led to a person being arrested for having a warrant. Police initially checked on a vehicle that was in the park after park hours, when a check revealed that one of the passengers had an active fugitive warrant, according to police.

FUGITIVE ARREST: A man was arrested at the intersection of North Lindbergh and Pershall Road when it was discovered that he had a warrant. The man was initially stopped for riding his bicycle after dark without a headlight, according to police.

STEALING: Police responded to a call in the St. Louis Mills parking lot where a vehicle broken into and luggage was taken.

OCTOBER 11

BURGLARY: Police responded to a burglary in the 7400 block of Normandie Court. According to police, entry was gained through a broken bedroom window and a handgun and electronics were taken.

FRAUD: An individual in the 800 block of Teson reported having money stolen from a personal checking account.

OCTOBER 10

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY/PROPERTY DAMAGE: Police responded to an attempted burglary in the 250 block of Gladys Ave. Three men attempted to gain entry through a door, then fled the area upon discovery according to police.

STEALING: A homeowner in the 8300 block of Latty Avenue returned home from being out-of-town to find that items were taken from residence.

ACCIDENTAL INJURY: A volunteer working at St. Louis Mills fell, hitting their head, according to police.

STEALING: Police responded to a call in the 5300 block of Knoll Creek Drive, where the resident said an acquaintance took several electronic items.

OCTOBER 9

VEHICLE THEFT: Police responded to a call of a vehicle being stolen in the 8400 block of Tally Ho Drive.
