The vacant McDonald's Bar property located on Missouri Bottom Road just behind Finke Bros. Lawn Mower Repair, has been an eyesore for residents since the bar closed in May 2010.
From graffitti to broken out and boarded up windows, one had to wonder if something would ever come of it.
Well the time has come and something is being done. Immanuel Worship Center, currently located at 7169 N Lindbergh Blvd., is turning the property into a church.
Hazelwood Economic Developer, David Cox, said church leaders purchased the property and have some work ahead of them because the building is in terrible shape.
The property, located at 12523 Missouri Bottom Rd., has been vacant since McDonald's Bar closed.
